Caption under photo in January 1956 "Delco Radio Broadcaster": Louise Titus holds a $3,200 crystal of germanium grown in the Semiconductor Physics Laboratory. This crystal of germanium will be sliced into segments approximately three-tenths of an inch square and less than a hundredth of an inch thick. |
