B/w image of interior of Superior Machine Tool Company warehouse showing bombs
Two pictures of plant Superior Machine Tool Co. showing World War I shells up to 155 millimeter Howitzer shell, one of the "Kokomo Firsts".
Further research reveals that Superior Machine Tool did not manufacture mortar shells during WWI. "America's Munitions," a report from the Assistant Secretary of War, Director of Munitions, Benedict Cromwell, shows on p. 216 that Globe Stove and Range manufactured 17,460 mortars during WWI. Superior Machine Tool is not listed as a maker. Relevant pages from report located in Globe Stove and Range vertical file. R. Smith 02/17/2015
