The Kokomo Tribune building, ca. 1870, at the southwest corner of Mulberry and Buckeye streets. The Grace Methodist parsonage and church are in the background. Image is in "Kokomo: A Pictorial History" on page 142 Found in files: Photo taken in the early 1870s showing the new Tribune building at the southwest corner of Buckeye and Mulberry. Old Grace M.E. church and parsonge can be seen as well as the railroad track and the dirt streets. This building dates from 1869, and was razed in 1989. It was occupied by the Miller Furniture Co. Annex in the early 1920s and by Smith's Cafeteria in the late 1930s, in the early 1940s by the Cottage Bar-B-Q, and later by the China Clipper Restaurant.
