Description |
Open field southeast of Kokomo that became Indian Heights. The following description is from Ned Booher's History of Howard County: "Indian Heights was just an open field southeast of Kokomo before its development into the largest housing area in the county in 1957. The developer named the subdivision and many of the streets after Indian tribes from the region. After exhausting the names that he knew, he called upon the Howard County Historical Society for more Indian names to finish the job." - Chapter 3, p. 90. |
