Miller, Simon Trowbridge, ?, Joshua Phillips, Carl Comer, Elza Kirkman, and Dora Hapner Seated are: John Hercules, Luke Hercules, Eugene Hatton, and Madison Warwick. Caption on Page 92 of "Howard County Pictorial History" states, "In 1876, John and Lewis W. Hercules established a sawmill in Center, beginning more that sixty years in the lumber business."
